TOO LAZY TO WRITE A STATEMENT

ABOUT JOSHUA

Based in London, his work centres on exploring and interrogating the complexity of human diversity and its relation to the cosmos through experiments with the concepts of space and time. By interweaving installation art, performances, videography, and textual archives in his practice, he evokes an indefinite and amorphous perception, colliding with the dynamic nature of human beings.

In Joshua's past projects, 'Dining Alone?' and 'FADED' both reflect on the changes in interconnections between oneself and the surroundings over time by juxtaposing the past and present in the same space. This further showcases the development of the subject matter from a documentary yet interactive perspective. 'The Door Project' invites participants to express themselves freely on private property, adopting graffiti art as a symbol of freedom of expression, while imposing sets of restrictions and rules on the participants. The project raises questions about the existence of 'absolute democracy' in our societal structure.
